Bulembu Minitries Swaziland

Childcare for Orphaned or Vulnerable Children

Bulembu supports the ongoing care of  approximately 350 orphaned and vulnerable children.

We provide holistic care for each child in a home, rather than in a large institutional orphanage. Each child lives in a refurbished home with a caregiver and up to five other children. In this way, each child becomes a part of a caring family that will prepare them for a bright future filled with hope and to emerge as the leaders of tomorrow.

These new families will be the thread that restores the social fabric of a nation on the verge of collapse due to the AIDS pandemic.

Bulembu Christian Academy

Education is central to our vision to provide the Bulembu child with a hope and a future. Our mission at Bulembu Christian Academy is to provide quality Christian education equipping the whole child to reach their full potential as Godly leaders at their own respective level. Bulembu Christian Academy does this by means of intentional input combined with personal example of the staff in order to equip the children of Bulembu to be critical thinkers, life-long learners and leaders of sound Christian character in Bulembu and across the nation. We summarize our approach as being Swazi-Plus in that we avoid transplanting foreign values into Bulembu but rather aim to raise good Swazi citizens with good Christian values who can excel in this environment.

Bulembu Community Church & Royal Rangers

Bulembu Community Church, led by Pastors Musa and Waheedah Masinga, serves the community of Bulembu. Children, aunties, staff, and local residents join together in worship every Sunday at 9am.

In 2010, Royal Rangers started in the town of Bulembu in Swaziland.

Our emphasis is on enriching the lives of the children in Swaziland and working to equip them to be the future leaders of this nation using the Royal Ranger program.

Since Royal Rangers started in 2010, the amount of Royal Rangers in Bulembu has grown to 200 participants. We have had great testimonies of transformation and renewed purpose especially among the young leaders (15-19 year old’s) who participate in Rangers. They now see that they can also make a difference in the lives of other children and they have been enabled to sow into the next generation.

Akki and Alli El Kaakour are the National Directors for Royal Rangers Swaziland. They are a powerful young leadership couple who are using their gifts and skills in training and developing new curriculum materials contextualized for the specific cultural and circumstances needs of the vulnerable children of Swaziland.

In Community By Community(ICBC)

Childcare for Orphaned or Vulnerable Children

The ICBC Model

ICBC, an acronym for In Community By Community, was birthed out of an effort to stand against the mind-set of dependency upon churches and aid organizations. At its heart is the desire for church and ministry plants to be established IN the rural areas BY the people that live there. We have seen how establishing a church plant alongside a local Pastor, with a heart after God and a love for his people, is gradually giving those rural villages, much-needed hope for a sustainable future. CMS has a vision to see 60 ICBCs planted throughout Swaziland. The ICBC vision seeks to serve those most in need, in the most deprived areas of Swaziland bringing healthcare, education and assistance to their community.

Each ICBC site consists of:

  1. Church
  2. Pastor’s House
  3. Pre-School
  4. Community Health Care Center
  5. Sustainability Projects
  6. Home for Orphaned & Vulnerable Children

Residential Programs

Conquering Life Controlling Habits

Men’s Center

What began as Teen Challenge program in April 1997 has now grown into fully fledged rehabilitation center for both men and women with life-controlling habits. Our program is based on a twelve-month resident based program, Christ-centred, and a discipleship-based regimen of restoration. As a fully certified affiliate of Global Teen Challenge, Emafini Teen Challenge Discipleship Centre utilizes a treatment protocol whose success has been proven in 58 different countries for over 51 years. This track record of success has baffled the medical community and amazed investigators and makes Teen Challenge Swaziland a well-recognized resource to the community and concerned people everywhere.
